They are a team of Medical Reserve Corps volunteers who focus on animal preparedness planning, education, and outreach. The Team offers trainings for the public on pet CPR and first aid. All the calls you receive will have the Caller ID of <strong>City of Beacon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Stay up-to-date by following the Facebook pages for the City of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100068368143365\">Beacon Police Department<\/a> and City of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100064750266729\">Beacon Fire Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>County:<\/h3>\n<p>For County&#8211;wide alerts download the Ready Dutchess app from <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/mx\/app\/ready-dutchess\/id1527341440?l=en\">apple<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.ocv.dutchesscountyema&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">google.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cReady Dutchess\u201d app provides anyone with a smartphone or tablet the latest information during an emergency \u2013 from push notifications about local road or facility closures and severe weather updates, to planning tools and checklists. The app provides users various resources and links, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <em>\u201cMy Emergency Plan\u201d<\/em> tool for building a plan to know what to do before, during and after any kind of emergency;<\/li>\n<li>Live traffic updates from New York State\u2019s 5-1-1, which provides up-to-the-minute transit information from the State\u2019s Department of Transportation;<\/li>\n<li>A map that will display countywide emergency shelters and cooling\/warming centers, when open;<\/li>\n<li>Links to local closing and delay information for local school districts, businesses and events;<\/li>\n<li>Links to electric companies NYSEG and Central Hudson Gas &amp; Electric Corp for updates on power outages;<\/li>\n<li>Calendar and registration information for upcoming Citizens\u2019 Preparedness and Medical Reserve Corps of Dutchess County trainings open to the public;<\/li>\n<li>A link to the County health department\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dutchessny.gov\/Departments\/County-Executive\/Dutchess-County-Launches-New-Improved-HELPLINE-Mental-Health-and-Suicide-Prevention-App.htm\">HELPLINE<\/a> application; and<\/li>\n<li>Information on emergent health issues, such as the COVID-19 pandemic or monkeypox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Follow the Facebook page of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DutchessCountyEM\/\">Dutchess County Emergency Management.<\/a> for updates.<\/p>\n<h3>State:<\/h3>\n<p>New Yorkers can subscribe for <a href=\"https:\/\/alert.ny.gov\/sign-ny-alert-0\">NY-Alert<\/a> to receive critical information and emergency alerts on what is happening in their area. <a href=\"https:\/\/alert.ny.gov\/sign-ny-alert-0\">NY-Alert<\/a> contains critical, emergency-related information including instructions and recommendations in real-time by emergency personnel. Information may include severe weather warnings, significant highway closures, hazardous material spills and other emergency conditions.<\/p>\n<p>All areas of New York State are included in the system, and you can decide which area you would like to receive alerts about.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alert.ny.gov\/sign-ny-alert-0\">Signing up is free, and messages can be received by phone, email, text and fax.\u00a0<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Vulnerable Populations Asssistance&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1695396552899-b8745935-d5fc&#8221;][vc_column_text]The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dutchessny.gov\/Needs-Registry-Form\/Registry-For-Individuals.aspx\">Dutchess County Access and Functional Needs Registry<\/a> is now available.
