We need your help! Help your Dutchess County community as a contact tracer
During the current COVID-19 pandemic, hundreds of residents have signed up to volunteer to help their neighbors – either through the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) of Dutchess County or through our Dutchess Responds relief effort. We thank you for your dedication to service and for answering the call to assist your community.
In order for Dutchess County and the Mid-Hudson Region to begin re-opening in phases and importantly to contain COVID-19 and prevent further spread, we are in vital need of individuals to serve as contact tracers, who can work remotely and telephone residents who may have been exposed to COVID-positive individuals.
New York State will not allow our county or our region to begin Phase One of reopening until we can prove we have sufficient residents willing to serve as contract tracers. If you would be willing to take a 4-hour training to fill this critical gap and help our community take the next step in the re-opening process, please send your name, email address, and cell phone number to dcpersonnel@dutchessny.gov. We need your help ASAP!
Signing up to add your name to available volunteers to help Dutchess County meet its contract tracing needs does not prevent you from applying for a paid contact tracing position with the State. You can apply for a paid contact tracing position with the state online.
We thank you again for your volunteer service to Dutchess County, and we hope you’ll join us in filling this urgent need for contact tracers, playing a crucial role in helping our county and the region rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic.
