The Theatre at Settlement Camp Park
The Theatre at University Settlement Camp Park can be rented for weddings and special events.
As with the planning of any special event, we strongly suggest visiting in person before making a reservation. The rustic space, reminiscent of a barn in the woods has hardwood floors, two bathrooms and a small utility sink.
Any event specific supplies must be brought with you – for example:
- Tables
- Chairs
- Caterers
- Prep equipment, etc… Best to consider the space a blank canvas.
We do know of a few area rental companies and catering companies familiar with the layout and specifications of The Settlement Camp that we can recommend should the need arise.
The Theatre is located at 18 Camp Loop Road. Our park is open dawn to dusk and tours of the Theatre can be scheduled weekdays, between 9am and 3pm.
Tenting is allowed but requires the completion of the tenting application, additional permitting and fees. The rental fee in 2023 is $4000.00, which includes use of the theatre for 3 days, front and rear lawns, and a portion of the field for parking (tenting is additional). We do have a single day rental option as well. Please note that your event will need to setup and breakdown in the same day. There are no additional days for 1 day rentals. There may be additional fees associated with your event as well.
Please contact the office to check availability before submitting a request.
“University Settlement Camp was a dreamy location to have my wedding! I highly recommend it to anyone who has a rustic/vintage/classic/Americana theme in mind for their wedding. USC is a nearly untouched vintage summer camp nestled into the base of Mount Beacon. We held our ceremony under a tree (with plenty of creative license given) and comfortably sat 75 people in the theater, with a three piece band on the stage and plenty of room for a dance floor. The City of Beacon did an excellent job coordinating our event and they did everything they could to help accommodate us. Congratulations and good luck! – Erin Macchiaroli”
