Fishkill Avenue Concepts Committee

FISHKILL AVENUE CONCEPTS COMMITTEE

The Fishkill Avenue Concepts Committee is an all-volunteer, ad hoc committee of Beacon residents that will assist the City in developing conceptual ideas for the northeast section of the City of Beacon, around and including Fishkill Avenue (State Route 52).

The Committee’s objective is to develop concepts, drawings, and proposals for improvement of the Fishkill Avenue corridor. Topics will include support for the proposed rail trail along Route 52, proposed connections to Matteawan Road, pedestrian improvements, zoning recommendations, and linkages to Beacon Lofts, Fishkill Creek, and the Greenway trail.

UPDATES & STATUS

The committee held their first meeting on March 20, 2024. The committee currently meets once a month on the 1^st Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please check the city’s calendar for an update on the location of the next committee meeting.
