On April 23, 2024, the City of Beacon and Town of Fishkill issued a joint statement in support of the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. In the statement, Mayor Kyriacou and Fishkill Supervisor Ozzy Albra also called for increased participation on behalf of both communities in the data review process being conducted by the Trail’s Visitation Data Committee.
