The Spirit of Beacon Day is a city wide celebration for the community of Beacon, New York held annually since 1977 on the last Sunday of September. Read more about its history here and see past photos here.
Spirit of Beacon Day is organized and run by a volunteer committee with hands on help and generous donations by local citizens and businesses, alongside the support of the City.
TO VOLUNTEER:
The Spirit of Beacon Day is fast approaching and we need volunteers! The following are the positions we need help filling…
- Parade Coordinators: Help with parade check-in and lineup (11am arrival to Polhill Park through the end of the parade ~1pm)
- Yard Sign Distributors: Place Spirit yard signs around town to publicize the event (ASAP)
- Table Vendor Helpers: Assist vendors with setup and breakdown (10-11am and 4pm-5pm)
- Kids + Teen Entertainment: Facepaint, games, music/dancing, and other kids activities (11am-4pm)
