FISHKILL AVENUE CONCEPTS COMMITTEE

The Fishkill Avenue Concepts Committee is an all-volunteer, ad hoc committee of Beacon residents that will assist the City in developing conceptual ideas for the northeast section of the City of Beacon, around and including Fishkill Avenue (State Route 52).

The Committee’s objective is to develop concepts, drawings, and proposals for improvement of the Fishkill Avenue corridor. Topics will include support for the proposed rail trail along Route 52, proposed connections to Matteawan Road, pedestrian improvements, zoning recommendations, and linkages to Beacon Lofts, Fishkill Creek, and the Greenway trail.

The committee currently meets once a month on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please check the city’s calendar for the location of the next committee meeting.

  • Appointed by Beacon Mayor Lee Kyriacou, the FACC has been studying the Fishkill Avenue Corridor (from Ron’s Ice Cream to the city limits near Industrial Arts) since March 2024. If you are a resident and/or own a business in Beacon, we want to hear from you.
  • Please join us for our presentation and the opportunity to share your ideas for an emerging vision of Route 52 in Beacon. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
